Alfreton Pet Care Business Seeks New Owner After 20 Years
A long-standing pet care business serving the Amber Valley area is coming to market following more than 20 years of continuous service to local pet owners.
Petpals Amber Valley, operating across Alfreton and surrounding parts of Derbyshire, has become a familiar presence in the community, providing services including dog walking, cat sitting, pet visits and in-home animal care.
Over the past two decades, the business has built strong relationships with clients and their pets, developing a loyal local customer base and a reputation for reliable, regular care within the area.
Current owner Fiona has taken the decision to step away from the business due to a change in personal circumstances, as she takes on caring responsibilities for her elderly father.
Fiona said:
“I have spent many years doing what I love - caring for the pets of Amber Valley. It has been incredibly rewarding building relationships with both pets and their owners across the area. However, life has changed and I now need to focus on caring for my elderly father. It’s a very emotional decision, but the right one for me at this time.”
Tracey Dawber, franchise support manager at Petpals UK Ltd, said:
“Petpals Amber Valley is a long-established franchise with strong local roots. We are now looking for the right person to take over and continue providing a valued service to the community.”
The business continues to operate as normal while a new owner is sought. It is part of the wider Petpals UK Ltd franchise network, which provides training and ongoing support to franchisees.
Petpals Amber Valley is now available for purchase at £29,995 ONO, with an annual turnover of approximately £50,000. The sale includes franchise training, operational support and existing client relationships.
The business covers Alfreton and surrounding areas of Derbyshire.
