MP Launches Amber Valley Business Awards to Celebrate Local Excellence
Linsey Farnsworth, MP for Amber Valley, is set to shine a spotlight on the outstanding businesses that make the community thrive, with the launch of the Amber Valley Business Awards. From innovative start-ups to long-standing family firms, these awards celebrate excellence, creativity, and dedication across the region.
The launch of the awards coincides with Small Business Saturday on 6 December 2025, a national movement that celebrates the UK’s 5.45 million small businesses and encourages people to shop local and support independent businesses. Small Business Saturday has reached millions of people and generated billions in spending with small businesses over its 13 years in the UK.
Linsey Farnsworth MP said:
"Amber Valley is home to so many incredible businesses that go above and beyond for our community. These awards are a fantastic way to celebrate their hard work and achievements. I encourage everyone to take a few minutes to nominate a business that has made a positive impact – let’s give them the recognition they deserve."
The Six Award Categories are:
• Best Shop/Retail
• Best Professional Service
• Best Food and Drink Business
• Best Beauty Business
• Best Tradie
• Best Online Business
How to Nominate:

2. Provide the name of the business and why they deserve recognition
3. Submit – it only takes two minutes!
Nominations close on 23 January 2026, and winners will be announced after the closing date.
