Ambergate 3-wheelers and microcars cars event August 24th
Sunday August 24th sees the Great British Car Journey at Derwent Works, Ambergate, DE56 2HE, host its Three-wheelers and Micro cars event. From mobilizing the masses in post-war Europe to achieving '70s Kitsch-cred, the three-wheeler is woven into the British motoring culture. This event celebrates them all from bubble-cars to Bond Bugs, Messerschmidts to Minicars. These tiny cars are marvels of packaging and micro-engineering. All now rare machines -on three wheels or four !
Visitors can not only see a wide variety of models, with a number of owners' clubs attending this event, but can also tour the museum with its full interactive experience, taking them through the history of the British motor industry from the early 1900s to the current day, with over 140 cars on display, featuring some for the most popular and iconic British cars, family favourites and forgotten heroes.
