Ambergate Kit Cars event July 27th
Sunday July 27th sees the Great British Car Journey at Derwent Works, Ambergate, DE56 2HE, welcome that most British institution, the Kit Car. Popular from the 1950s to the 1990s these home-made specials used components from humble family cars, but in increasingly radical designs.
Visitors can not only see a wide variety of models, with a number of owners' clubs attending this event, but can also tour the museum with its full interactive experience, taking them through the history of the British motor industry from the early 1900s to the current day, with over 140 cars on display, featuring some for the most popular and iconic British cars, family favourites and forgotten heroes.
The July 27th event itself features, and invites owners of, some of the Britain's best-loved cars. Come along and see, or better still bring your own kit car for fellow enthusiasts to enjoy and benefit from a discounted admission by clicking the link below.
