Salcare and Heanor Town Football Club Unite to Support White Ribbon Campaign
Heanor, Derbyshire on the 23rd November Salcare and Heanor Town Football Club are proud to announce their partnership in support of the White Ribbon Campaign, a global movement dedicated to ending domestic abuse against women and girls. This powerful alliance will be officially marked at Heanor Town FC’s next home game, where all players, coaching staff, and club owners will unite to pledge their commitment to this critical cause.
A United Front Against Domestic Abuse
The signing of the White Ribbon Campaign by Heanor Town FC symbolises a collective stance against domestic violence, reinforcing the club’s commitment to fostering a community where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued. By joining the campaign, the club pledges to promote awareness, challenge harmful behaviours, and work actively to eradicate domestic abuse.
"We are proud to support the White Ribbon Campaign and stand with Salcare in their vital work to support victims of domestic abuse," said Glen Clarence, First Team Manager of Heanor Town FC. "Football is more than just a game; it’s a community. Together, we can be a powerful force for change, showing zero tolerance for violence against women and girls."
Supporting Salcare’s Vital Services
Salcare, a local charity providing essential support services for individuals affected by domestic abuse, will be at the forefront of this initiative. Their work includes crisis intervention, counselling, and advocacy services, helping survivors rebuild their lives and regain their independence.
"We are thrilled to partner with Heanor Town FC," said Jacqui Bell, Director of Services at Salcare. "The support of the club and its community is invaluable in spreading our message and ensuring that survivors know they are not alone. Together, we can create a future free from violence and abuse."
