Christmas Market - Denby Pottery Village 2024
Open over two long weekends, Denby Pottery is holding its annual Christmas Market to help you achieve all your Christmas shopping needs. There’s also good food and activities all available under-cover with free parking for a great day out.
In the huge marquee, there’s a vast array of unique Christmas gift ideas for all the family created by local independent craftspeople, including jewellery, Christmas decorations, soft furnishings, creative artwork, woodwork pieces, as well as local gin, cheese, cakes, soaps, candles, chutneys, jams and honey plus much more. A visit to the Christmas Market on both weekend is highly recommended as there are many different stall holders at each weekend.
In the Courtyard, The Greedy Pig Butchers have a hog roast (and more), there’s hot meals in Bourne’s Coffee Shop & Bistro as well as hot drinks and snacks available in the Denby Farm Shop to eat in or takeaway. There’s also stalls selling olives and Indian snacks, alongside charity stalls with tombolas and raffles such as Blood Bikes, Shelter, St. Johns Ambulance, Guide Dogs, Wildlife Trust and Derby Theatre.
The Denby Gift Emporium is stocked with Christmas gifts with new stock arriving daily and includes quality puzzles and games with endearing bears and characters by quality toy makers including the popular Jellycat. Various size Christmas trees and hand-made wreaths are available from the permanent Garden Stall.
The Denby Farm Shop has quality food and drink gift ideas from many local suppliers. To complement the selected wines from Laithwaites are fine meats and cheeses plus locally produced ales and gin. In the extensive Cookshop and Denby Store there are practical gifts such as Vases and James Martin entertaining sets not forgetting those extra plates, placemats and bakeware for the festivities. Even the family pet is catered for with Denby’s selection of Pet Bowls and Denby’s own much anticipated yearly collectors’ Christmas decoration is available while stocks last.
For those who wish to create their own Christmas gift or memento the Denby Craft Studio has various craft workshops taking place for adults and children up until Christmas.
