Appeal after woman suffers serious injury after assault in Riddings

A woman has been left with serious injuries after an assault in Riddings.


Police were called at 1.20am to a report that a woman had been assaulted at a house in Greenhill Lane, Riddings.

At the scene the woman, who is in her 20s, was found with serious injuries and was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remains in police custody.

The incident is understood to be domestic in nature and the victim and suspect are known to one another.
