Support and advice for Carers Rights Day 2022
Carers in Derbyshire can find support, information and advice at a number of events being held around the county and online for Carers’ Rights Day 2022.
This year, Carers’ Rights Day is on Thursday 24 November and aims to make sure carers are aware of their rights, raise awareness of their needs as well as highlighting help and support available.
Carers will also be able to get information and advice to help them with the rising cost of living.
Derbyshire County Council is backing several events in partnership with Derbyshire Carers Association, who support more than 12,000 carers.
Events include:
• Carers’ networking event, Friday 18 November 2022, 10am-2pm, Post Mill Centre, South Normanton, DE55 2EJ
• Carers’ information drop-in event, Tuesday 22 November 2022, 10am-3:30pm, Royal Derby Hospital, level five, DE22 3NE

Derbyshire County Council Cabinet Member for Adult Care Councillor Natalie Hoy said: “Derbyshire carers play an invaluable role, supporting and looking after their loved ones and in return, we’re committed to looking after them.
“It’s important that we give them the help and support they need as well as recognising the contribution they make on a daily basis.
“We hope people will come along to the events and use this opportunity to make useful connections and find out what support is available for them locally.”
