Explosive railway fog signals stolen from Midland Railway at Butterley
Eight railway fog signals have been stolen from the Midlands Railway, Butterley.
The theft took place sometime between 4pm on Thursday 1 April and 8.30am on Tuesday 6 April and saw a number of tools and a fire extinguisher stolen – alongside the signals.
It is unknown if those who stole the signals are aware of the dangers, however, they can cause serious injury if struck, walked on or placed in a fire.
Anyone who finds a signal is asked to call Derbyshire police on the 999-emergency number in order for it to be safely collected.
