A wonderfully relaxed, friendly social group in the heart of a beautiful woodland. Enjoy a chilled out chat and a cuppa around the campfire.Why not come and rest your feet around the camp fire with our very relaxed and informal little group. Leave the everyday hustle and bustle behind for a while and escape to the calming comfort of the woods. Enjoy a cuppa and a chat in the beautiful ancient woodland of Shining Cliff. Feel free to bring a packed lunch to eat by the fire, we'll provide hot drinks and biscuits! Are you thinking of coming alone but a little nervous? Please don't be, we are all very welcoming and would love to have you join us. Your hosts at the fire pit are Kate and Bonnie. Both are level 3 Forest School leaders, with up to date first aid training, fully DBS checked and with all the relevant policies, procedures and risk assessments in place. (Please ask if you want to know more about this.) Please note, there is a composting toilet available if needed, the height of luxury for the middle of a woodland!

Our Camp fire group is free, but we just ask for donations on the day to cover costs for hot drinks and biscuits as well as fuel to keep the fire going. (If you enjoy baking home made treats feel free to bring some along!) To get to the camp fire area there is a short walk from the woodland car park down an uneven and often muddy track. You will receive directions to the woodland and the private car park with your booking confirmation. Once you have arrived at the car park you will see wheelbarrows on your right. Go past the wheelbarrows and follow the path straight on for 10-15 minutes until you pass a hut. You will find us at the camp fire on the left, just after the hut. Although the event is free, we ask you to please book a space so that we know how many people will be joining us. We purposefully keep the group size small. If you are walking into the woods, please select 'on foot' ticket. (If you know the woodland, we are based just next to the hostel). If you require a parking space, please select 'by car'. Please wear suitable footwear and wrap up warm in several layers. If you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to contact us.
