Art Challenge at The Windmill
There is a great opportunity rapidly approaching for all the artistic minded persons in the area to participate in the ‘Heage Windmill Art Challenge’ .
The challenge is for them to compete against like minded persons and to produce a wonderful image of the beautiful six sail wind mill at Heage in the media of their choice. The competition will take place on Sunday June 10th and they will need to register at the mill between 10-00am and 10-45am, when they will be able to start work. Making the images will continue apace until everything stops at 2-45 pm, to be followed by judging and awarding of prizes in both the senior and Junior categories.
Entry forms are also available before the day at the windmill mill on Chesterfield Road, Heage, or can be obtained from mortimerwilson@ahoo.co.uk
The normal conducted tours round the mill will continue whilst the artists are exercising their various talents.
The windmill will be open during 2012 (11-00 to 4-00 pm) every weekend from April to the end of October, as well as at all bank holidays ,(other than Jubilee Day).
Admission prices for 2012
Adult - £3.50, Concessionary including Gold card - £3.00, Children (5-15) - £1.50, Family Ticket – £8.50 (to include up to 3 children).
For organised parties of up to 10 people - £40.00. For each person after this the price will be £4.00.
School parties - NO CHARGE for pre booked admission to the mill.
