Man receives prison sentence after an aggravated burglary in Heanor
On December 30, 2015 an elderly couple were attacked in their own home by a man wearing a facemask and brandishing what appeared to be a gun.
Robert Taylor (40) of Pease Hill, Alfreton was sentenced to seven years in prison on Wednesday, April 12 at Derby Crown Court.
Detective Constable Russ Garner said: “The victims were left traumatised by this attack. This was a senseless attack on two elderly people.
“Taylor has got a substantial sentence showing the seriousness of this offence.”
