Free Body MOT at Alfreton Library Wellbeing day
Alfreton area residents who would like to see how their body is standing up to the stresses and strains of everyday life have an opportunity to take stock, with a free Body MOT being offered at Alfreton Library on Wednesday 19th April 2017.
The Free Body MOT is part of a day-long Wellbeing event organised by Community Movers – an Amber Valley Borough Council scheme which offers support to help individuals take the first steps towards an active and healthy lifestyle along with Places for People Leisure.
Between 10.00am and 3pm wellbeing experts invite local residents to visit to have the following checked
- blood pressure and heart rate
- height/weight and BMI
- body fat %
- skeletal muscle %
- visceral fat %
- peak flow
Friendly, personal advice and support will also be offered to help get you active and improve lifestyle and wellbeing.
A number of health, lifestyle and support organisations will be in attendance for advice and support; Police and Crime commissioner & Core Victim support services, Derbyshire Healthwatch, Citizens Advice, Stroke Association and Alzheimer's society, Hearing Help, Amber Trust (P3), Trent PTS and C4TCT and the Air Ambulance and more.
