Denby Pottery Village Fete - Sunday 23rd July 2023
Denby Pottery Village is holding its Summer Fete on Sunday, 23rd July from 10am to 4pm. From traditional games to meeting a variety of animals, there will lots to entertain the whole family.
Come along and learn about Alpacas from Brackenfield Farm and perhaps join one of these characterful animals for a short stroll. Get up close to the weird and wonderful creatures from Fudge & Co, whilst White Post Farm have a pop up mini-farm, which includes reptiles, small fluffies, insects and nanny goats. There are also ponies to ride and the opportunity to learn all about domestic birds and parrots from ‘Parrots In Need’ Rescue charity.
There are the Guide Dogs in training with demonstrations at selected times throughout the day whilst Denby Koi Ponds celebrate 2 years at their Denby Pottery location and the fish give the utmost attention to visitors who feed them with their special Koi food.
Traditional games stalls include Tin Can Alley, Coconut Shy, Hoopla and Hook a Duck with prizes to be won. In the Craft Studio you can try your hand at painting onto our selection of fun shapes with starting times available every hour and half hour. The Garden Stall too has lots to interest gardening enthusiasts with expert gardening advice available. Whilst you're enjoying the Village Fête, take a peek inside Denby’s Museum which is offering free access to wander around and soak up Denby’s history. The Denby Museum curator will be on hand to answer any queries.
Charity stalls include a bookstall from Shelter (Denby’s Charity this year) and a tombola in aid of the Amber Valley & District Guide Dogs with plenty of prizes to be won!
There are food and drink options too from Greedy Pig Butcher Hog Roast pop-up stall and BBQ or for something sweeter, Emma’s Cake Stall will be offering tempting delights or you can grab a delicious ice cream from Emma’s Whippy Ice Cream Van. Bourne’s Coffee Shop and Bistro will be serving hot dishes, jacket potatoes, freshly prepared sandwiches and paninis, along with Cream Teas and refreshments plus takeaway options and the Farm Shop café also offers lighter bites.
Dogs on leads are welcome visitors at Denby Pottery Village (except in the food retail areas such as the Deli and Farmshop). Please bear in mind many of the Stallholders take cash only.
