‘A Summer’s Evening of Music’ - Three Choir Appeal

Gresley, Bestwood and the Pye Hill & District Male Voice Choirs are joining forces to support the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance and the Nightingale Macmillan Unit, Royal Derby Hospital, by helping raise funds to support these vital services.
The concert will be held at the impressive St. Mary’s Church, Wirksworth, a wonderful venue to host major concerts in the beautiful market town of Wirksworth.
Tickets are available locally from Marsden’s Gift Shop, Wirksworth and Flint’s (01629826339/07761624049) and also on the door at just £8.00. You are promised a fantastic evening of choral entertainment!
All three male voice choirs are long-standing and nationally well-known. Gresley MVC and then Bestwood MVC augmented by the Pye Hill & District MVC will unite to sing a range of their most popular songs from current repertoire. The concert will also see all three choirs’ mass in combined powerful harmony, to take full advantage of the wonderful acoustics of this beautiful church.
Expect to hear a diverse range of songs from traditional choral music, the shows, gospel, folk and contemporary music.
