This Is England Cast Members Visit Local Dance school
Easter Holiday Fun was had at the Derbyshire Academy of Performing Arts school in Riddings.
30 children attended three days of activities, dance and musical theatre during the easter holidays. They were days full of dancing and learning new things including visits from a West End Star from the Musical Hamilton, a children’s agency and then on the final day cast members from the BAFTA award-winning film and tv series This is England.
Miss Danielle principal of Derbyshire Academy who was also in this is England invited fellow friends and cast members to meet some of her pupils and parents.

Derbyshire Academy was set up a few years ago in Riddings and now with over 100 pupils is becoming a very successful school, teaching dance, acro, drama, singing, musical theatre, and much more, including an adult disability drama group.
Students are currently working towards a show which will be held at Landau Forte College in Derby in June this year.
Pupils start as early as 2 years old and carry on until adulthood. The school is for all levels and is a place for children to feel comfortable, learn new skills from experienced teachers, grow in confidence and make lifelong friends.
