Get up close to Great British competition cars this half-term
Ambergate’s Great British Car Journey is celebrating Britain’s contribution to World Motorsport this half term with an exhibition of iconic British-built race and rally cars from 15 – 30 October 2022.
There will be a selection of motor sport cars on display at the award-winning classic car vehicle attraction, including some from circuit racing and rally sport cars, as well as actual cars that have competed in Formula One, Le Mans and the World Rally Championship.
Visitors will be allowed close access to the cars and will even be able to sit in some of them.
Discounted entry to the exhibition will be available to families, with a family ticket admitting two adults and up to three children reduced by 25% to just £30.
As well as the motorsport display, the ticket also gains admission to the full Great British Car Journey exhibition which features more than 140 British built and designed cars between 1903 – 2000.
Richard Usher the founder of the Derbyshire-based motoring attraction commented: “It is increasingly difficult for the public to get up close to real racing cars. This is a rare opportunity for visitors to see immensely fast race cars at very close quarters. It’s a chance for children to sit in some cars which have competed at the highest level at the world’s most famous venues.”
