Classic Motorcycle Day at Crich Tramway Village - the Winners
The 4th Annual Classic Motorcycle Day at Crich Tramway Village on Sunday 3rd October attracted over 250 classic motorcycles, built prior to 1996.
Organised in conjunction with the Vincent H.R.D Owners’ Club, the event combines the passions of vintage trams and classic motorcycles.
External judges selected winners of ‘Best British Motorcycle’ won by Mick Ash from Nottinghamshire with his Vincent Black Shadow, ‘Best International Motorcycle’ and ‘Best Pre-war Motorcycle’ which were both won by Alan Barker from Lincolnshire, with his Terrot HLG 350cc and ‘Best Japanese Motorcycle’ which was won by Dennis Murfin from Derbyshire, with his Honda CB77.
Blue Miller from Old Bike Mart magazine judged the ‘Best Classic Motorcycle in Original Condition’ which was won by John Fletcher from Derbyshire with his Ariel Square Four with Steib sidecar.
The visiting public voted for ‘Best in Show’, which was won by Dave Wood from Staffordshire with his Triumph Tiger 110.
Jon Lambley, organiser from the Vincent H.R.D Owners’ Club said:
“The feedback we are getting is very positive and the event is fast becoming a 'go to' event".
