Chatsworth House Garden reopening from 10 June

Published on Saturday 6 June 2020

The Gardens at Chatsworth House will re-open from the 10th June, please read the attached statement from Chatsworth House for further details.

We would like to thank you for your continued patience as we navigate these unprecedented times, and hope that many of you have been able to enjoy the park since we reopened the car parks in late May. After careful and considered planning we are delighted to announce that we will be able to reopen the garden from 10 June.

We will continue the timed entry system we introduced for the house car park, however, access to this car park will only be for those who have reserved a garden ticket. There will still be a limit on the number of cars each day, in order to enable social distancing and help protect the health and wellbeing of our visitors and staff.

As a result, you will need to book a garden ticket in advance, which will specify a time slot. This time slot is when you are to arrive at the garden entrance. Please do not arrive at the car park more than one hour before your garden entry time slot. Anyone arriving outside of their time slot may be refused entry. Your garden ticket includes parking in the house car park.

NB. Once you leave the garden, you will not be able to re-enter on the same day.

Reservations for the garden must be booked prior to arrival. Anyone arriving without a booking will not be able to access the house car park and garden. We ask that you only travel to the area if you have booked a ticket.

Anyone wishing to park and walk on the estate will still be able to use the Calton Lees car park. Access to the Calton Lees car park will continue via the online reservation system, with bookings still needing to be made prior to arrival.

Use the link below to book your garden and Calton Lees car park tickets. You must have your booking confirmation either printed out, or clearly visible on a phone when you arrive. You will need to hold it up to the window of the car park booth so that it can be validated. We thank you for your understanding.

We are looking forward to welcoming you back to Chatsworth.

Best wishes,
The Chatsworth Team
