Appeal after two men assaulted outside Alfreton pub

Police are appealing for witnesses after two people were assaulted in High Street, Alfreton.


Two men in their twenties were assaulted after an altercation outside of the King Alfred pub at around 12.30am on Sunday 9 February. One of the men was taken to hospital for treatment but his injuries were not believed to be serious.

It is understood that the disturbance began inside the pub between a group of men and women and then moved out onto the street.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact us quoting reference number 20*092903 and the name of the officer in the case PC Andy Brooks.
