DLRAA Receives Donation From Jen Fearnley And The Ripley Whist Club
On Wednesday 20th November 2019, Jen Fearnley and the Ripley Whist Club donated £808.10 to Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA).
Jen Fearnley and the Ripley Whist Club presented Richard Fletcher Derbyshire Volunteer Community Representative for DLRAA, with the cheque at Andbec House at one of their Whist Drives. The donation came following on from the previous year’s support, thought out the year they hosted a range of events and stalls as part of the activities for Ripley Whist Club and selling Air Ambulance Merchandise.
Richard said: “I was delighted to be presented with the cheque from Jen Fearnley and the Ripley Whist Club. DLRAA relies entirely on donations from members of the public as it receives no Government or National Lottery funding. Therefore, support from people such as Jen and the Ripley Whist Club really is invaluable and goes a long way to helping to keep our lifesaving service flying and saving lives.” DLRAA was formed in 2008 and has carried out more than 16,800 rescue missions and saved many lives in the process, each rescue mission costing on average £1,700 with DLRAA completing on average 5-6 missions every single day, 365 days a year
