Local researcher looking for help with project on private tuition
We're looking to speak to parents and young people who use private tuition and who live in the East Midlands. The young people need to be in Years 10-13 (flexibility for Year 9 too)
We're currently in the pilot phase of a research study funded by the Leverhulme Trust which explores the use (and non-use as the project moves forward) of private tuition. At the moment we're looking to speak to people who use tuition for their child(ren). The young person needs to attend mainstream school and be in Years 10-13.
It would involve separate interviews with the parent and the child (we have DBS checks and ethical clearance from Loughborough University) which would take place at a time and place convenient for you e.g. your home. These would last around an hour to 1.5 hours each. Those who take part receive a £25 gift voucher (for parent and young person).
If anyone is interested, there are additional questions I'd need to ask to check you're eligible then please contact me at C.D.Rawdin@lboro.ac.uk or 07384344216. All responses will be confidential and identities protected in publications.
