March Hair Little Eaton Celebrates Raising £230.05 For DLRAA
On Thursday 23rd November 2017, Sarah Smith & Beth Kinder and customers celebrated raising £230.05, for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA).
The donation was raised over the last few months where they were selling our Christmas Cards and sold a fantastic 61 packs. After hearing our service in 2016 achieved some amazing milestones, the launch of the Night Car Service which allows us to be available 20 hours per day and in June we reached 25000 lifesaving rescues over our 5 counties. They decided they would do even more to support us and in 2017 and hoping to raise even more in 2018.
Richard said: “I was delighted to be part of this fantastic achievement, their passion and support for our service is truly fantastic”. DLRAA relies entirely on donations from members of the public as it receives no Government or National Lottery funding, therefore support from people such as Sarah & Beth and the customers of March Hair really is invaluable and goes a long way to helping to keep our lifesaving service flying and saving lives.” We would like to thank all the staff and customers for the generosity and fantastic support they have given.
DLRAA was formed in 2008 and attend approximately five rescue missions every day, from horse riding accidents, to road traffic collisions, to sports injuries, falls, and many more –and has carried out more than 9,100 rescue missions and saved many lives in the process, each rescue mission costing on average £1,700
