The primary aims of the society are to support the Strutts Community Project (which the society forms along with the Guardians of Strutts) and encourage community involvement in and around the Belper area.
The society supports the Strutts Community Project by:
- recruiting volunteers to help with the running of the centre and restoration of the site.
- raising funds for various aspects of the Project.
- increasing public awareness of the Project.
- involving itself in the Belper community.
The society encourages community involvement by:
- helping local community groups/clubs gain funding.
- working with other local organisations to promote community groups/clubs.
- providing help & support for local people to setup new groups/clubs.
- the society has a very strong History section which is researching the school.
