Ripley Morris emerged from the shadow of Ripley Morris Men following a decision to move to open membership in 2018. Ripley Morris are a mixed side of men and women dancing Morris in the Cotswold and South Midlands style with a dash of the Lower Balby tradition thrown in.
Ripley Morris are to be found out and about in Amber Valley during the summer months from May to September. From September to May thay practice and hone their art at Fritchley Church Hall from 8.00pm to 10.00pm on Thursday evenings. Before Christmas each year they perform the local Hammersmith Guisers Play around local pubs and collect funds for The League of Friends of Ripley Hospital. To date they have donated almost £40,000 to the League of Friends.
