Jonathan Needham was professionally trained at Broomfield Horticultural College where he gained his academic papers including a National Diploma in Horticulture (NDHort) and the Royal Forestry Society (RFS) theory exam both with high grades including distinction in plantsmanship where he was joint winner of the cup for latin plant indentification.
Jonathan has worked on various television programmes including Garden Doctors with Anne-Marie Powell. He also worked alongside Monty Don on the Lost Gardens programme for Channel 4 before Monty went on to become presenter of Gardeners World.
