Christine Gray - Mixed Media Artist
I am an artist living and working in Derbyshire. I enjoy exploring my creativity through different mediums. My creative output is usually matched by the appropriate medium at that time, whether this is a photograph, a mixed media painting, a mosaic or a textile piece depends on the what needs to be created. I am often inspired by the Derbyshire landscape and my native North Wales coastline.
I enjoy exploring hidden places and finding the beauty in small things. I enjoy reading about philosophy, creativity and personal development, these readings inform my work, sometimes successfully and sometimes not. Sometime the importance is on the process and not the outcome.
I am inspired daily by different things, it may be a tree root or a rock, a story or song, or an observation of life inspired by a philosophical reading and my struggle to understand that form of writing. I also enjoy creative writing and often include text in my artwork.
