The Market is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 8.00am until 4.00pm
Alfreton Indoor market is undergoing a facelift (Summer 2013), starting with a new frontage which will spearhead a programme of improvements. A new roof will be fitted during the summer months followed by new doors, heating system and improved stall canopies, along with self-contained kiosks for food stalls hairdressers and lower stalls, which has encouraged new growth in business.
Thanks to a new trader incentive, new traders are now joining the market - Mobility Beds are coming in July and Just Rugs are back with us in September. Other traders who have taken advantage of the new trader incentive are Zoe 'the barber shop' who is now running a hairdressing salon and Rosewood IT solutions - computer repairs and consumables including bespoke printing to name a few.
The market offers a wide range of local produce including quality fruit and veg, locally sourced butchery, Deli counter with award winning pies, fresh Grimsby fish, fresh eggs, sweets and bakery, for the technically minded there is a mobile phone accessories stall, electronic cigarettes, games consoles/console repairs, DVD's sales and watch repairs/batteries/straps.
The Market also boasts floral arrangements, sugar craft, haberdashery, greeting cards, gifts, jewellery, handbags, purses and gold purchased, key cutting and shoe repairs, second hand books sales and exchange.
If you fancy a change there is underwear, alternative fashion, nightwear & hosiery, baby/children's clothing, special occasion baby & children's wear, something for everyone. After shopping, there is the opportunity to take a break in Mick & Trish's Diner.

The market also has stalls available for local residents to car boot. The cost of these stalls is currently £10 and stalls are available on every trading day – Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday - subject to availability. Charities can stand for free!
The introduction of a monthly Farmers Market is also being explored along with many other ideas for keeping Alfreton on the map for shoppers.
