Your wish is our command, kids panto auditions are back!
The hunt is on for talented children who want to join the cast of Aladdin, this year’s instalment of our award-winning Derby pantomime.
Little Wolf Entertainment are seeking kids bursting with energy and personality to appear on stage at Derby Arena with professional actors - including National Pantomime Awards Best Dame, Morgan Brind.
Auditions are open to children aged 9–16 who can act, sing and dance, although previous theatre experience is not essential. Being part of the Junior Ensemble is a great opportunity but involves a lot of rehearsals and commitment. Find out more and apply at littlewolf.co.uk/work-with-us. The closing date for applications is Sat 2 Jul 2022. Those who are 16 will need to be in Year 11 at school at the time of the performances.
Junior Ensemble auditions will be held on Sun 3 Jul 2022 and applicants will need to register online, after which they will be given a time slot for a small group session. There is no need to prepare anything in advance. Every child will get the chance to showcase their acting, dancing and singing skills and should come ready to have lots of fun!
To participate, you will need to be free for rehearsals from 17 Nov as well as the performances which take place between 9 to 31 Dec.
Morgan Brind and Alan Bowles from Derby-based Little Wolf Entertainment said:
“We’re delighted to bring back the Junior Ensemble auditions for this year’s pantomime extravaganza, Aladdin. We are always hugely impressed with talented kids that audition for us in Derby, so we’re really looking forward to meeting everyone again this year! Make sure to apply online to secure your place.”
Tickets for Aladdin are on sale now from Derby LIVE & See Tickets, with prices ranging from £28 - £16, depending on the performance. Concessions are available. Early birds can get a discount of £2 per ticket if they book by Wed 1 Jun 2022.
Book your pantomime tickets online or call the Sales and Information Centre on 01332 255800.
