Medicines Order Line reduced hours notice
The service used by the public across Derby and Derbyshire to order repeat prescriptions by telephone will have reduced hours on the afternoon of Thursday, September 16.
The Medicines Order Line (MOL) will close an hour early, at 3pm, so anyone who normally uses the service should contact the service before that time.
The closure has been scheduled to enable essential staff training, and the service will re-open as normal from 8am to 4pm on Friday, September 17.
Those who have access to email can still order prescriptions using the call-back email service. Staff normally call back within two working days, depending on workload.
To request a call-back, patients will need to provide their name, date of birth and a contact number, as well as their GP practice name.
• To request a call back from the NORTH Derbyshire MOL, please email ddccg.northMOLonlinerequests@nhs.net
• To request a call back from the SOUTH Derbyshire MOL, please email ddccg.southmolonlinerequests@nhs.net
Before requesting a call-back, patients should check how much medication they have remaining and only order prescriptions when seven days' medication remain.
Patients can also use other routes to order repeat prescription without contacting the MOL service:
• NHS App
• Electronic Repeat dispensing (Batch prescription)
• GP Practice online ordering service
