Crich Tramway Village Looking For An Engineering Manager
Full-time Engineering Manager; £40,000- £45,000 PA dependent upon experience (permanent contract) 37.5 hours per week, worked flexibly across 7-days.
Crich Tramway Village is the home of the National Tramway Museum, an Accredited Museum with a Designated collection. It operates heritage electric tramcars over one mile of standard gauge track to provide our visitors with an authentic tramway experience. Many of our tramcars have been restored in our own workshop.
The successful candidate for this post will have excellent management skills gained whilst working in a practical workshop engineering environment, be innovative, flexible, customer focussed and enthusiastic. The role will entail managing our entire Engineering department, this comprises our Facilities and Janitorial team and Restoration Workshop team and includes a diverse range of volunteers as well as employees.
Some practical work will be required, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of the tramway infrastructure, the tramcars themselves and broader facilities across the site. Extensive liaison will be required with our curatorial team, funders and partner organisations.
