House Fire Burley Hill, Duffield - Fire Investigation Outcome
A joint police and fire investigation into the cause of a fire at a house on Burley Hill in Duffield has concluded the most likely cause to be deliberate.
Firefighters from Nottingham Road, Kingsway, Belper, Ascot Drive, and Ashbourne, supported by a crew from Derbyshire Constabulary, attended the scene following a call at 11:10 hours on Friday 7 June 2024.
Upon arrival crews discovered a well-established house fire. Firefighters wearing apparatus used hose reel jets, an aerial ladder platform, and a water carrier to extinguish the fire. A welfare unit was also on hand to support crews involved.
Final fire crews left the scene at 17:00 hours the following evening (Saturday 8 June).
No one was in the building at the time of the fire.
