Enjoy Derby College Groups Everything Equine Event!
Visitors are in for a real treat at Broomfield this January, when Derby College Group’s (DCG) Broomfield Hall stages an engaging equine event.
The day has been organised by the University of Derby’s Equine Degree students, who study at Broomfield Hall.
The indoor arena at Derby College’s Equestrian Centre, at Broomfield Hall will be transformed for this fun and informative event. The Centre has 40 stables, indoor and outdoor school and a cross-country schooling field.
The free event is 28th of January 11am to 3pm.
Come to the event and see an array of horse-related activities including:
• Experience equine demonstrations
• Meet local professionals and increase your knowledge
• Find out about new technology such as, heart rate monitors, polar cameras, riding equipment and the coaching tool, telereins.
• Learn about studying Equine at degree level
• Enjoy the trade stands, tombola and table top stalls
Entry is open to everyone.
Melissa Rudd, Higher Education Teacher in Equine Science at DCG, said of the event “We are so excited to be staging this and it's set to be a great day. There really is so much to enjoy for everyone from finding out about degree courses and equine careers to just browsing the stalls. And the students have done a really outstanding job in pulling it all together.”
Any donations will go to the Blue Cross animal welfare charity.
The charity provides veterinary care, offers expert behavioural help, and finds homes for pets in need. Their pet bereavement service supports those who are struggling to cope with the loss of a much-loved pet.
