Appeal for information after dog allegedly bites boy in Milford
Police are appealing for witnesses after a three-year-old boy was allegedly bitten by a dog.
Police have been told that the little boy was walking with his grandparents along a footpath off Miller’s Way in Milford when they saw a man walking with three or four collier-type dogs off the lead.
It is alleged that one of the dogs ran over and bit the child on his leg. He was wearing wellington boots at the time and was not injured.
It is also said that the dog owner was verbally abusive and aggressive toward the grandparents.
Police want to hear from witnesses or anyone who has information.
A 24-year-old Ripley man has been traced and interviewed on a voluntary basis.
The incident is said to have happened at about 10.30am on Wednesday 10 February.
