DISCOVERY DAYS: Travel and Transport - Guided Tour
Location: Meet outside the Mill Shop ready for a 2pm start (approx 3.30pm finish)
Cost: £5– Limited places, advance booking required.
The growth of the cotton mills changed Cromford and the Derwent Valley forever and turned this valley into a place of industry. Come on a journey of discovery about the dramatic changes in travel over the last 200 years as this tour explores how important transport networks grew, linking Cromford to the rest of the world. This tour starts at Cromford Mills and finishes along the canal.
The Discovery Days Festival (Saturday 26th October – Sunday 3rd November) celebrates the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site with activities taking place all along the valley from Derby to Matlock Bath.
