Our pre-school has been established for over 40 years. We are based in a converted church in the village of Swanwick, Derbyshire and provide high quality care and education for pre-school children from two and a half to five years old. Our staff are friendly, dedicated and highly qualified. The pre-school is managed by a committee of parents working in partnership with the staff and we follow the Early Years Foundation Curriculum (EYFS). Our Ofsted report is ‘Good’
Swanwick Pre-school aims to:
- Provide high quality care and education for children primarily below statutory school age
- Work in partnership with parents to help children learn and develop
- Add to the life and wellbeing of its local community
- Offer children and their parents a service which promotes equality and values diversity
Service offered by Swanwick Pre-school
- The pre-school is open 38 weeks each year (minimum)
- We are open 5 days each week (Monday – Friday)
- We have two sessions each day: Morning 9.00am – 12.00pm and Afternoon 12.40pm – 3.40pm
- We are closed during school holidays
- We provide care and education for young children between the ages of 2 ½ and 5 years
- The fees are £9.00 per session for children under 3 years old & £11.76 per session or a DCC entitlement for children in the term after their 3rd birthday, we also accept 2 year funding
