Heanor Memorial Park is a 20th-century municipal park. Shanakiel House, one of the few Edwardian-style houses left in the town, is located alongside the park.

Heanor Memorial Park pays tribute to to all military and civilian personnel of the British forces killed and injured in the service of their country.
