Belper Town Council Annual Awards
Belper Town Council is pleased to announce the launch of its award scheme.
From Belper Town Council
The Council are aware of the amazing work members of the public put into making our town the great place it is.
Therefore, in recognition, we are happy to accept nominations from the public for individuals or groups who go the extra mile. The nominations can be submitted by email or by hand to the Clerk of Belper Town Council clerk@belpertowncouncil.gov.uk
The form is available through a link here - https://www.belpertowncouncil.gov.uk/uploads/btc-awards-nomination-form.pdf and there are hard copies available from St John's Chapel. The form is intentionally brief, try to be as concise as possible, but if necessary, attach a separate sheet.
The closing date for applications each year is the 31st of July and awards will be presented at a ceremony in September the same year. The successful nominee and the nominator will be notified and invited to the ceremony, with as many friends and family as they wish to invite along. The ceremony will be a public event and local media will be present.
There are several categories for the nominations. Please don't get too concerned about the category for which to submit your nomination. Just submit it and the panel who will be assessing the nominations will find the right category for you.
The categories are:
- Youth Award
- Environmental Action Award
- Award for Service to the Town
- Arts and Heritage Award
- Community Award
- Sports Award
- Lifetime Achievement Award
If you have any questions please feel free to contact Councillor Emma Monkman who will be Chairing the awards panel cllremma.monkman@belpertowncouncil.gov.uk
