Sky Recruitment Solutions promotion adds to Lorri's bumper month of celebrations

Published on Saturday 9 July 2022

A RECRUITMENT worker is enjoying a landmark time - turning 50, getting married and celebrating a job promotion, all in a matter of weeks.

Lorri Johnston, who hit the big 5-0 on June 17, has been promoted to Regional Business Development Manager at Sky Recruitment Solutions, which specialises in recruiting for industrial roles at all levels.

And to top off her achievements, the Ilkeston resident is set to tie the knot with her partner of five years, Paul Chad Shelton, at Morley Hayes Golf Club and Hotel, on July 31.

Speaking of her work promotion, Lorri said: “I’m super excited.

“I came into the business part-time, but I’ve been very well looked after, and the company seems to be going from strength to strength.

“Getting married is the icing on the cake! Everything is fitting together.”

Her new role comes after a 25-year-plus career in various sales roles, and more recently in recruitment and business development.

She has worked for Sky Recruitment Solutions for just under two years and was most recently Business Development Manager.

Her promotion comes at an exciting time for the thriving Derby-headquartered business, which is about to launch its 10th branch, in Bradford, and has just taken on Aleks Remplewicz as a Recruitment Consultant at its newly-launched Nottingham branch.

Craig Cheetham is Regional Business Manager for Sky Recruitment and oversees the firm’s Ripley, Mansfield and Nottingham branches.

Lorri acts as a “right-hand woman” to him, liaising with clients connected to these branches.

He said: “Lorri is a very special person, she’s unbelievable.

“Nothing is ever too much for her - she goes above and beyond in any task and everything we ask her to do. Everybody within the company adores her.

“She has brought a lot of business to us and she builds good relationships with our clients.

“She fully deserves the promotion.”

Lorri added: “I’m super excited to build on Craig’s region. We all work really closely as a team and have been really successful.

“I can’t thank everyone enough for the opportunities I’ve had.”

As part of her role, Lorri attends networking and marketing events.

Anyone hosting any such forthcoming events in the East Midlands can email lorri@skyrecruitmentsolutions.co.uk To find out more about the company, visit www.skyrecruitmentsolutions.co.uk
