Mayor Delivers Ripley Town Guide To Local Schools
The current Mayor of Ripley, Councillor Roland Emmas-Williams' final role on behalf of Ripley Town Council, was to deliver Ripley Town Guides to Ripley Academy School, Ripley Junior School, Lons Infant School and St. John's Primary School to give out to students.
In 2021, Ripley Town Council produced the Ripley Town Guide which is available at Ripley Library and the Ripley Town Council office on Grosvenor Road. It is about the history of the Ripley Township and has a useful pull-out street map. There is also a list of local community groups which are financially supported by the Town Council through grants, and there is also a list of useful telephone numbers.
The guide has been written by Cllr Ian Fisher, with assistance from Peter Smith and the Ripley and District Heritage Trust.
