Local Colleges Highlight HE Options
Three local colleges have joined forces to raise awareness of the options available to study a university-level course close to home with the flexibility of fitting studies around their work and family commitments.
Derby College Group (DCG) Burton and South Derbyshire College and Chesterfield College all work in partnership with leading universities and professional awarding bodies to deliver first class nationally recognised qualifications which meet the needs of individuals, employers and society.
Whether people want to gain an edge in the fiercely competitive job market, enhance their promotion prospects or even chart a completely new career direction – studying HE at these local colleges can help individuals achieve their ambitions.”
College-based HE students benefit from small class sizes with 121 support from experienced teaching teams. As well as full access to high class facilities on site at college, students can also use additional university facilities and services whenever they want.
All three colleges also offer a range of financial support for students to break down any barriers to higher education and enrich studies with new opportunities – from exciting hands-on projects to work placements, from community initiatives to talks by inspirational guest speakers.
HE study options across the colleges include: Access to Higher Education; Animal Care; Art and Design; Business; Childcare; Computer Science and Digital Engineering; Engineering; Equine; Fashion; Games Design; Performing Arts; Photography; Professional Construction; Professional Education, Training and Development;
