Officers rule out hitchhiker sighting in search for missing Joshua Jones
Police Officers searching for missing Joshua Jones have ruled out a man hitchhiking in the Matlock area as being Joshua.
Following Joshua leaving his home in Hurst Rise at 11.30am on Saturday 12 December the force has received multiple calls regarding a man matching his description hitchhiking towards Chesterfield that afternoon.
Following extensive enquiries, officers have now been able to rule out the hitchhiker as being Joshua.
Joshua, who was seen on CCTV in Matlock town centre at the Boyes shop at around noon on 12 December, was last seen wearing a pair of blue jeans, a grey Superdry coat which is darker on the sleeves with a hood that is bright green on the inside.
