Codnor Bonfire and Fireworks to Music Event Cancelled

Published on Tuesday 8 September 2020

Codnor Parish Council Announce Cancellation Of Their Bonfire and Fireworks to Music Event

The following statement was shared by Codnor Parish Council

Due to the current pandemic it is with great regret that the Parish Council must announce that it will not be possible to hold our much loved Bonfire and Fireworks to music event this year.

As residents will appreciate the event takes a lot of time to plan and organise so a decision had to be taken early.

We have decided that It is not possible to meet all of the organisational requirements and safely ensure social distancing at the event - therefore it has been necessary to take the decision to cancel. Public safety must be our priority.

We hope to be back next year on Friday 5 November 2021 with an event to be proud of.

In the meantime please stay safe and play your part in defeating this virus by following all of the guidance issued by the Government.

Andrew Sharpe
Clerk to Codnor Parish Council.
