Heanor Town Team reporting...
A year on from the launch of Heanor Town Team, a Public Meeting is to be held to update business owners and local residents on the progress it has made, and outline its plans for the coming year.
The meeting will be held on 21 May at St Lawrence Church, starting at 7.30pm. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.
Representatives from Derby College will also be in attendance to give an update on its plans now that the Heanor site has been given Studio School status.
Deputy Leader of Amber Valley Borough Council Cllr Liz Bowley said: “In the last year, since Heanor Town Team was established, we have seen it implement a range of projects aimed at improving Heanor. These have included improving the market, the community fair and the Heanor parking payback scheme. This public meeting will allow people to hear more detail about these projects and find out what the Town Team has planned for the year ahead.”
