New PCSO for residents in Shipley, Smalley, Heanor and surrounding area
Residents in Shipley, Smalley, Horsley, Heanor and Loscoe have a new Police Community Support Officer patrolling the streets.
Vicky Hill, who has been a PCSO for more than three years, has taken over from PCSO Becky Davis on the local Safer Neighbourhood policing team.
PCSO Hill joined the team in March this year, having worked previously in the South Normanton and Pinxton area.
Since joining the team PCSO Hill has been out on patrol, meeting local residents, finding out about community issues and visiting schools across her area.
She said: “I’m really enjoying getting to know my area and the communities I serve. In particular I will be looking at targeting road safety concerns in the Shipley area and I also hope to set up some activities for local youngsters, with plans underway to organise some with an outdoor or countryside related theme this year.
“If you do see me out and about, please don’t hesitate to come and say hello, or to contact our team if you have any concerns or issues about your local area.”
Vicky joins colleagues PC Rich Martin, PC Sarah Allcock and PCSO Emma Fisher at Heanor.
PCSO Becky Davis has now moved to work on the South Normanton and Pinxton Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team.
