Coffee morning gives Riddings residents the chance to chat to police and other agencies
Residents in Riddings have the chance to call and have a coffee with police and staff from other local agencies at a surgery next week.
Officers from the Somercotes and Riddings Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team will be on hand at a multi-agency coffee morning during the first week in May.
The event has been organised by Derbyshire County Council’s local children’s services team, and will include staff from a number of other support agencies including the police.
PCSO Meikel Miller of the Somercotes and Riddings Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We are pleased to be on hand at the coffee mornings as it is a chance for us to meet with residents on an informal basis, who can call in to chat to staff from different organisations in one meeting place or just simply stop to say hello.”
It will take place at Riddings Park Community Centre, on West Street, between 9am and 11am on Thursday, May 2.
If the surgeries become popular it is hoped to hold the event on the first Thursday in every month.
