Trading Standards warning of bogus callers in Langley Mill
The following is from Derbyshire County Council
Trading Standards are warning residents in Amber Valley to be aware of a bogus caller pretending to be a council official.
This follows a complaint from a Langley Mill resident who received an unsolicited call at the door from someone claiming to be council official. He flashed some sort of ID to the resident then proceeded to make his way to the garden. The caller stated to the resident that he needed new fencing, a new front gate and his garden cutting at a cost of around £150.
