Amber Valley Spartans Basketball Club Half Term Basketball Camp
Looking for something fun to do this half term?
Amber Valley Spartans Basketball Club is running a basketball camp for 10-18 year olds at Aldercar High School sports hall.
Building on the success of sessions run in local schools during term time, Spartans Camp will be held from 9.30am-2.30pm on 25 and 27 October for all abilities.
So whether you're looking to brush up on your skills or an absolute beginner, there's something for everyone.
Mark Woodhouse, head coach at the Ripley-based Spartans basketball squad and ex-professional player, said: "Basketball is a fantastic game. It's a great way to get fit, make new friends and learn new skills.
"That's why we're offering young people the chance to come along and be a Spartan for the day to learn and play basketball in a safe, fun environment with our team of experienced coaches."
Amber Valley Spartans is currently top of division one of the men's Sherwood Basketball League with a second men's team and a development team also making great strides in division two.
Spartans Camp costs £12 per person for one day or £21 per person for both days.
