Ripley bar staff urged to take advantage of free training on responsible alcohol sales
Staff from pubs, clubs, bars and off licences in Ripley are being urged to take advantage of the chance to pick up a free qualification on responsible alcohol sales which is supported by the local police licencing team.
A one day course, funded by brewing and beverage company SABMiller, is being organised at Ripley Town Hall which will allow bar staff to gain an industry recognised qualification.
Some of the topics covered include the nature of alcohol and its effects on the human body, the main points of the Licensing Act and the law, social responsibilities around the sale of alcohol and how to prevent alcohol related crime and conflict
Staff will also be able to achieve a BIIAB Level 1 Award in Responsible Alcohol Retailing, which proves they understand the main points of licensing law, by completing a multiple choice exam at the end.
BIIAB is the specialist provider of qualifications for the licensed retail industry with training courses recognised by the police, local authorities, national and local government. For more information visit: www.biiab.bii.org/home
The course dates have yet to be announced. For more information or to register your interest please contact Remscott Training on 01298 812825 or email admin@remscott.com.
