Amber Valley Jobs Fair - 7th October 2016
Amber Valley MP Nigel Mills is to hold another Jobs Fair on 7th October 2016 at Ripley Leisure Centre from 10am to 3pm.
Previous events have seen thousands of constituents attend, with hundreds finding work or training opportunities as a direct result.
Many local employers and training providers are already signed up to attend the Jobs Fair: HL Plastics, Severn Trent, Tesco, the Manthorpe Group, Owen Taylor & Son, NHS Supply Chain, BPI Recycled Products, McDonalds, trentbarton, Filigree Holdings, Futures Homescape and Deb, as well as many more.
As always, the fair is free of charge to attend for both constituents and businesses. A limited number of stands are still available for employers and training providers: please get in touch for more information by emailing nigel.mills.mp@parliament.uk or ringing 01773 744341.
Amber Valley Borough Council are providing free car parking to those attending the fair and trentbarton are offering a half-price zigzag ticket for people travelling to the fair on the day – the voucher can be downloaded from Nigel’s website at www.nigelmillsmp.com.
Nigel Mills MP said: “These jobs fairs are a great way to bring employers, training providers and jobseekers together. The latest figures show that unemployment in Amber Valley has fallen by nearly 60% since 2010, even when considering the awful collapses over the last year of Leaderflush Laidlaw Shapland and Courtaulds. To build on these strong figures, I’m committed to helping even more constituents back into work so our local economy can grow even more, and we can keep progressing towards our target of full employment. There will be a wide range of organisations offering a variety of opportunities for full-time and part-time positions, and for people of all ages. I hope to see you there.”
